Sophie has also published extensively on literary and publishing matters, with her work appearing in journals such as New Writing and TEXT, as well as book chapters in publishing-related books. Her book on established authors working to maintain a career in the rapidly-changing contemporary publishing industry, The Adaptable Author, was published by Keesing Press in 2014. Sophie’s collection of tips for authors, By the Book: Tips of the Trade for Writers, appeared as an ebook with Sixteen Press in 2013. She has also written course material for university courses on publishing, and is a Board member of the Small Press Network, the current Chair of the New England Writers’ Centre, and a former Chair of the Australian Society of Authors.
